Entered Elk country this morning. Heard A Bull howling right off then large hoof prints all over the trail. At 3:30 I stopped to take a picture of the valley that's attached. I looked down and 300 yards below a female Elk was staring right at me. I got some video of her. Not much but looking forward to seeing more.
As I camp by Lake Dewey the Bulls are howling up a storm.
The picture of the lake is Pipe Lake. I stopped there for some lunch.
And yes, it is still raining.
