Beard Theory
I have come to the conclusion that beards evolved in males to attract females. Not only does a beard demonstrate that you have eaten that day and therefore are a successful provider, it also displays what you have eaten.
Women have been genetically programmed to find a man with Mammoth hanging off his face irresistible! They may say they don't like it but we know they do. They can't help it.
So fellas, let that beard grow and you will soon be turning the ladies heads just like me! Lol!

Rain Storm- Willamette Inn
Well the rain rolled in around 3am last night. Since I am ultralite that means I started hiking at 3:30am.
Most of the rain held off all day but the clouds piled up for a soaker. Took an alternate route to Shelter Cove and got lost. Then the rain started.
Ran into a couple that is also thru hiking. We ended up at this nice highway junction in a very nice motel with a cool tavern next door.
The night just went from a hypothermia nightmare to a warm comfortable fireplace in room and pub a hundred yards away. Sweet!
