Road Trip: 8094.8 Miles, 15 Days

Well, it was a hell of an adventure, saw a lot of fantastic sites from one end of the country to the other.  Time to rest up some, reload the war chest and plan out a new adventure.

There is still the PCT and Continental Divide to tackle as well as some new approaches.  I saw many people out west touring by bicycles with saddlebags and pulling little trailers as well.

There is also the sailboat option and of course the motorcycle tour.  Much to contemplate.

Nebraska

Definitely flyover country.  About 400 miles to go to get to Omaha.

Is that Charlton Heston down there?

The Priest Rapids Hydro Project

Came across this geological feature in Washington State off I-90 on my way to Seattle.  Decided Montana was to crowded and expensive.  I guess there is no escaping civilization.  When I hit Seattle I'll flip a coin, heads, Alaska, tails, L.A.

More Glacier

Glacier National Park

Just drove through the park and took a ton of pictures.  No where near as rewarding as hiking but still magnificent!

Flathead Lake, Montana

Montana reminds me a lot of Lord of the Rings with its rolling hills and jagged whitecap mountains.

Blurry Buffalo & Old Faithful

I have a great video of Old Faithful blowing but can't upload it from my phone.

The weather is terrible so I am pushing on to Bozeman.

Elk

Yellowstone Whitecaps

Pretty cool and damp in the park with a smell of sulfer in the air.

Yellowstone Lake

Mote Views from rt 16

Buffalo Bill Park

On my way to Yellowstone.

Colorado

Just crossed the border from New Mexico into Colorado on Interstate 25.

New Mexico

Took the short cut across the desert. Nice but I wouldn't want to live there.

Texas Through the Window

Took these while speeding through the waste lands on rt 287 out of Dallas.  Very hot, very dry.  Saw a bunch of oil wells as well.  ;)
