Was rather ambitious today and decided to take the Barr Trail to the top of Pike's Peak. The trail is 12.6 miles. I made it four before deciding to turn tail. Thin atmosphere did a job on me but I did get some great pictures and much needed training.

Pike's Peak I
My brother and I hit Pike's Peak today via Cog Railroad. Thinking about hiking up and taken Cog back down if weather holds up.
Garden of the God's
Yesterday was my brother and I's first day in Colorado Springs. We hit Garden of the God's for an easy hike to acclimate ourselves to the thinner atmosphere.
We were promptly called upon to rescue a young damsel in distress who's car had been stolen leaving her with only her less then well insulated jogging outfit. :) We gave her a ride to her friends after letting her call in the theft to the police from my phone.

Mt. Tammany Training Hike
Took the red trail up carrying a 52 pound pack. It certainly takes a certain amount of naivete to under take this type of challenge and thank God I am just naive enough!
NOTE: Man this mountain was nothing compared to what I ran into in Maine. I would say it is a warm up looking back.
